Well, it's was an interesting weekend. My wife and I bought two new cars. Her car was quite old and she really needed one. I needed to trade in my Acura so that I could get a cheaper car so that we could afford it so there you have it. We went out on Sunday morning to look at her car first. We ended up getting her a Saturn Vue. Not a bad a car and, as I discovered later, Saturns are very easy to buy. Once we finished up there we parted ways so that Breckin she could get Breckin home.
I went to the Jeep dealership with Rob, where it was a totally different ball game. The negotiations were definetly different (Saturn doesn't negotiate on price). I finally left the dealership feeling like I was getting a decent deal. I ended up buying a Jeep Patriot.
I will never buy more than one car in one day again.
Since then, we both love our cars. Both get very good gas mileage and are comfortable enough to drive long distances (look out Granny here we come.) I can finally go to the hardware store again without wondering how the heck I am going to get something home.
